- Trail of Echoes - click the portal to Suramar. Follow the way, use your quest item Trail of Echoes at the marked areas and click [npc=100169]s. Kill [npc=99213] and meet Thalyssra
- The Only Way Out is Through - follow her and kill/interrupt the attacking [npc=98946] on the way (you can ignore the other types of withereds)
- The Nightborne Pact - click Thalyssra (Video)
- Arcane Thirst - go to the middle of Shal'Aran, kill the [npc=99539] and [npc=99524] after that. Collect 6 [item=129979]
- Shal'Aran - follow [npc=111863] to the bridge. You can wait for her upstairs, she doesn't need you on her side while she is exploring the area

2022 HEADS UP! ESPECIALLY TO BOOSTED TOONS!
You MUST complete the repeatable quest "Feed Thalyssra" in order for this quest to show up. I am working on unlocking Nightborne and saw only that repeatable quest, assuming it was not related or required, and then wasted many hours looking elsewhere instead of just trying it. It may be blue/repeatable, but it's 100% required to proceed. Good luck.

Description
I was on my way to Ambervale in hopes of finding an old colleague. Arcanist Kel'danath was fascinated by the withered. He studied them for years hoping to calm their feral nature or even cure them. When one of his subjects escaped and ran amok in the royal gardens, Kel'danath was ordered to cease his research and kill all withered in his possession. He refused, and was exiled. If Kel'danath lives, he is near withered. And withered are drawn to old settlements like Ambervale.
