Away From the Herd

This daily quest requires you to throw a Squeaky Raptor for your Child of Torcali to play with. The toy is supplied upon starting, and must be thrown 5 times before your baby is happy.

This whole quest line, if it isn't the buggiest in the whole game, certainly makes the semi-finals for that dubious crown. Away From the Herd requires a squeaky raptor toy with which to distract your Child of Torcali. If the quest is working properly, accepting the quest automatically provides you with the toy. It provides or doesn't provide the toy at the whim of either the RNG or some programmer who messed up the code in some earlier patch. Similarly, when offered the quest Greener Pastures, your direhorn is not always in any of the reported coordinates where she should be found. Also, in the quest A Growing Appetite your Child of Torcali will not always accept all 3 of the foods you offer. The standard fix of logging out and logging back in again usually does not fix the problem. In short, this quest line is about as annoying as a quest line can get. My advice is that you spend as little time on it as possible.
