Today, the quest showed on my map at: /way Highmountain 37.20, 42.80 Bristled Bear Skin... But, the quest actually triggered at: /way Highmountain 42.1, 31.2 Bewitched Bear... Sounds silly, but the actual [item=134131] quest item dropped and could also be skinned from the [npc=95270], not the [npc=96146].
I headed north for the Bewitched Bears, changed mine, and returned south down the trail to the Bristlefur Bears. Bingo, quest popped up, good to go.
