This took me several tries before I realized that when you cook the meat it goes into your inventory and you have to eat it out of your inventory. To me it appeared as if the meat was cooking when I clicked on the fire and that I was eating it at the same time. So after dying many times I finally realized that you gather it, cook it, go to your inventory and eat it. Seems simple enough but the quest was unclear and most of the comments on WOWhead just say "eat it" which was also unclear. Hopefully this helps someone else out!

Anyone else wish nights always looked like this?
Quick Guide:
Note: DO NOT MOUNT UP! Anytime I mounted, it automatically failed the achievement for me.
All you need to do is go and kill three boars to collect 3 Raw Meat, then chop down one purple tree, come back to camp and click on the fire 5 times to cook all your meat, then monitor your hunger bar and just eat a meat when you were getting hungry (one meat was about 50% hunger). Just wait for the night to be done then boom, you are officially a survivor of the night.

Description
Now it's time to put your skills to the test. Your order seems to be a lot of watching and waiting without a lot of action. Prove me wrong. Show me that I might have something in common with the Unseen Path. If you survive a night in the wild, then I will consider joining your order.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
