Cage Free Spores

Cage Free Spores is a quest for level 60 in Maldraxxus. It is step 15 of 25 in The House of Rituals storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Maldraxxus at 70.0, 32.7. It rewards 8,150 experience and money.

Description

I will need your assistance with the collection of one other reagent for your master. These spore clusters he requests--while normally a trivial matter--will require a bit of work.

You see, as the veilwing rampaged throughout the Reagentry, it toppled and broke several nearby cages hosting the blightrays from which we harvest the clusters.

You will have to collect them through more... conventional means.

The clusters are fragile, however, so try not to damage them while subduing the creatures.

Another low drop quest from our friends at Blizzard.

Be careful as when you are killing these mobs you can aggro anything around them and there are Elites.

Weirdly though the one mob you can't aggro is the quest giver, so you can stand by him to kill these.

The Escaped Blightrays are right near the quest giver, flapping above the released bone cages.

The Enchanted Occuluses (floating eyes) around here will try to remove your disguise. You can safely kill them without drawing the attention of the other mobs, since you can fight without losing your disguise, so long as you either stun them or kill them before they finish their cast.

  • Heart of the ForestMaldraxxus · Level 60

The baron requests a veilwing's heart, but procuring one is going to be something of a problem. <Jor'dan gestures to the disarray nearby.> As you can plainly see, one of our sorcerers proved incapable of restraining the beast. I regret to inform you that our only specimen has escaped.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Final ReagentMaldraxxus · Level 60

I have gathered most of the remaining reagents on your master's list. All that remains is the special shipment he requested from Oribos. The brokers have yet to deliver the shipment. When it arrives, your master will have all he needs to complete his ritual.
