don't know why but I did not get this the first two times I killed Great-Tusk. I had to dismount and resummon the mount and eventually I got it, just had to wait around for Great-Tusk to spawn again. He's a pretty quick respawn thankfully.

Do not summon your demon, hunter pet, or water elemental - you will be dismounted.
