Catching His Eye

Catching His Eye is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-40 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 2 of 8 in the On the Shadow's Trail storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 29.2, 25.7. It rewards 6,850 experience and money.

Description

For what must be done, I need someone I can trust. You're one of those few.

The woods and the orc village, Gul'var, are protected from my scrying magic. We need to pierce that veil. I think I know a way.

There's a fel presence within the woods. A demonic watcher is there, hidden in a cave from which it casts its all-seeing gaze.

I would like for you and the warden to capture it.

Go UP the road until ON the RIGHT of the path (east) you see a tree fallen to cover the top of an opening to a pond with an obelisk glowing green. You have just past where you need to turn left (west). The cave is not at the bottom of the cliff, but up one level and is hard to see until you are on top of it ... it goes down into the ground an not directly into the cliff wall.

East from the path at 25.1, 17.7
Cave entrance at 23.6, 17.3

(Wowhead Looter [addon] now gives a view of the coordinates if you select that option)
