Cleaving A Path

Cleaving A Path is a quest for level 60 in Zereth Mortis. It is step 5 of 15 in the Starting Over storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Zereth Mortis at 55.9, 29.8. It rewards 10,200 experience and money.

Description

Maw Walker! My scouts report that the Mawsworn have dominated two automa Oracles to aid them in battle. These Oracles will most certainly predict our strategy and our ultimate goal, if given the chance.

We need to eliminate both Oracles before we enter the Crypts. With them out of the way, the Mawsworn troops won't know what we're doing until we're finished with it.

Take Emeni with you. She's eager for battle.

A word of advice for those doing this chapter. Once here, you get 3 quests, A Matter Of Motivation is one of them.
PICK UP ALL 6 AUTOMA and do this and other quests FIRST BEFORE TURNING IT IN. The DAMAGE the little fellas do is HUGE. Be mindfull that you get 5 minutes (from the last one picked) to return them to the circle near Firim.

You're welcome.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Matter Of MotivationZereth Mortis · Level 60

Giants litter these sands, mortal. But I believe we can revitalize them. The smaller automa that are hiding in the desert can be utilized here. Use my Motivator to rally them to our cause. If we can gather enough, their energy can replenish these defeated behemoths to bolster our forces.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Knocking On Death's DoorZereth Mortis · Level 60

This is it, mortal. The forces you have assembled should be enough to break through the Mawsworn and reach the Crypts. Getting inside, however, will require more effort. The Mawsworn have barricaded the entrance. Kbato will carry you into battle.
