This is by far the worst quest there is in this area.
Also, I learned the hard way that there is actually a rhyme/reason to the answers. Based on what they are doing/saying, your answer must match.
If they are sad, select the dim spirirts.
If they are talking about work, select the slave option.
If they are moving their hands it's that other one.
This is a horrible player experience. quest needs full rework
Ignore what they say. Just look at their animation as you're approaching and get ready to respond:
Slumped over, Sapped --- Spirits dim under Pertinax etc.
Repeatedly Crafting --- Is it our fate to slave away etc.
Aggressive, In Combat --- Pertinax leaves us to rot etc.
