The Road Not Taken Twice is a quest for level 80-90, added in Midnight. It rewards 23,550 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

During our surveys of this iced desert, our scouts identified two areas worth keeping an eye on, but with a major problem: they're only accessible through single points of entry.

Before I'm comfortable sending out more forces, we need to secure their exits.

We've been working on teleportation crystals for faster local travel that leverage the domanaar's existing portal network, and we're close to a solution. You just need to field test them.

Set up these prototype rift slippers and report back.

You can find the Portal to the Forgotten Depths at 43.79, 69.75

When you get inside you'll reach a room where you think you place the item on your map. It's actually way farther up, and you'll see a small cave to your left facing the room that takes you up top.

Hi all

On This Quest You need to at first go to portal /way 43.13 71.24, and place Rift Slipper is in top of cave. after place move to next portal /way 49.60 96.99, then go down and go to last room on right /way 33.11 47.42, place Rift Slipper press egein to get teleport out then go back to quest giver.

So, if you're like me and could not figure out where to go...

As @Wookierunner mentioned, the entrance to the portal that you want (to get to the cave) is at /way 43.79, 69.75.

There is a small opening to a ramp that leads to an upwards spiral. Before you reach the top of the spiral there is an unclear (at least to me) split/fork in the road (Here: https://imgur.com/a/TuKkabp ). Follow that up and eventually (before the room with the rope to go down) you will find the slippers on the ground (Here: https://imgur.com/a/BEKhv0G )

I hope that this helps some! I felt so silly with how long this took me to figure out.
