This is a really neat little quest (if it works). Once you click the third thingy you'll be sent back to your character creation spot with the intro cutscene playing, at which point Andantenormu will apologise and ask that you come back. If you're stunned IRL, like I was, and accidentally ignore Andantenormu, he will get frustrated and manually teleport you back after about 20 seconds and a heavy sigh.

This quest made me sob. What the hell. I still remember the first time I created my character, and she has been my main since 2007. To see her standing there in her new, modern gear, new hair and accessories, made me just... incredibly emotional. What a good quest, really.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Time in a BottleThaldraszus · Level 40-70

Great! The Timewalker staff intact! But, it is definitely drained. I know! You can recharge it using the temporal energy coalescing around the wildlife here. Unfortunately, that means defeating affected creatures in the forest.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Times Like TheseThaldraszus · Level 40-70

Despite that small hiccup during training, I believe you are prepared enough to aid us here. The distortions in the valley are allowing different time periods to cross over into ours. We are unsure why these timelines connect which is quite alarming. We need more information.
