If you can't see the npc. This is due to phasing of Dalaran above Deadwind pass.

Go to Dalaran above Karazhan in Deadwind Pass. Pick up and complete the two quests:

The Diamond King
Hiding in the Stacks

This should fix your phasing. And you can continue with "Following the curse".

Description

In my previous confrontation with your foe, I was able to see a glimpse into their past. Granted blessed vision by the Cloak of Purity, I saw the Dark Riders for who they once were. Come, we must go to Ariden's Camp in Deadwind Pass. I can explain its significance along the way.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Foe of the DarkLevel 10-45

I cannot believe the Dark Riders found us here. Long have they hunted the scythe to sate their lust for the artifacts of Azeroth. We thought we would be protected within the grove... And now, Valorn is gone... You must become the hunter, <name>. Seek the Dark Riders and recover the scythe.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Disturbing the PastLevel 10-45

This place is where the merchant, Ariden, set up camp while he was trying to ply his dubious wares to the sorcerer Medivh. It has remained strangely untouched for all this time, which leads me to believe it may still have a connection to its former owner. Help me search the camp.
