I tired to do this today and couldn't get him to go past the bridge. I dropped and restarted multiple times. I reloaded and logged out and couldn't get him to do anything after saying we need to continue on and he doesn't move

Not here to give advice, just wanna vent about how absolutely annoying and grating it is that Revil Kost is a great deal faster than you if you only have apprentice riding unlocked and if he gets even the slightest bit ahead of you then he'll angrily snap something like, "Do you wish to be left behind?" and after about the third time within 20 seconds of this happening I was about ready to smash something. (Also worth noting he'll make the same infuriating remarks if you end up a little AHEAD of him too...)
Ran into a glitch where I couldn't get past the entrance to the first bridge without stalling and having Revil Kost reset, just like the impatient crank he is. Tried everything including filing a ticket. I noticed on YouTube (looking for a workaround from the link in Varenne's extremely-helpful post) that others had the same problem. I finally unloaded all my addons, log/log and that worked. I was able to finish the entire quest line without any problem. Reloaded for the next series of quests and everything works fine, so good luck and hope this helps.

Description
Very well. I suppose an introduction is in order. I am Revil Kost, priest of the Light and a seeker of lost artifacts. I've dealt with the Dark Riders before, and have returned to rid this place of them. The Riders are elusive, but I may have a clue to their whereabouts. In our previous confrontation, I was able to see a glimpse into their past. Granted blessed vision by the Cloak of Purity, I saw the Dark Riders for who they were before. Come with me to Ariden's camp. I will explain on the way.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Ulthalesh, the Deadwind Harvester
The book says the Dark Riders were last seen in a place called Manor Mistmantle. If friend can find these riders, then he can get Ulthalesh! Calydus will wait here and await your return. Find Ulthalesh, friend!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Disturbing the Past
This place is where the merchant, Ariden, set up camp while he was trying to ply his dubious wares to the sorcerer Medivh. It has remained strangely untouched for all this time, which leads me to believe it may still have a connection to its former owner. Help me search the camp.
