The Deathforge (Horde)

The Deathforge is a Horde-only quest for level 25-30 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 35 of 147 in the Shadowmoon Valley storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 38.6, 38.2. It rewards 525 experience.

Description

While you were taking care of the infernals at Legion Hold, I've been going over your reports. We've got no reason to believe the Legion lied about what's going on at the Deathforge. They're really cranking out infernals down there, so I've dispatched a scouting party to keep watch over it.

If we don't shut down the Deathforge, they'll rebuild the infernal stockpile that you destroyed at Legion Hold.

Report to Scout Zagran atop Slag Watch, to the southeast of here and overlooking the Deathforge.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Blast the Infernals!Shadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

The device we've assembled won't win any beauty contests, but it should be capable of destroying the infernals amassed at Legion Hold. Judging from what the fel reaver power core's energy did to the Fetid Pool, it holds a respectable amount of explosive power.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Minions of the Shadow CouncilShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

<Zagran listens to you recount the events at Legion Hold, nodding.> That fills in the gaps we've seen. We've caught glimpses of them launching infernals in the direction of the hold, but haven't been able to find much more than that. The Shadow Council has the forge pretty much locked down.
