Get a "brain" from each of the three hives by killing any of the elite mobs at each one. Drop rate is very high; I didn't have to kill more than 10 mobs at each place before the brain dropped.
Recommend having one other person with you, but the mobs are soloable, though difficult.
Recommend doing Glyph Chasing and Into the Maw of Madness in conjunction with this quest.
Once this quest and Glyph Chasing are completed, leads to Unraveling the Mystery.

What to do
Description
I think I can formulate an elixir that will allow us to more readily decipher the glyphs and language of the silithid and Qiraji! What do I need? Glad you asked! I need brains! Normally I'd need a brain from each silithid type that inhabit the hives. Another brave explorer brought me two of 'em here... and never came back from Hive'Regal. Bring me back a silithid brain from Hive'Regal... and be careful not to end up like him!
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Glyph Chasing
After our initial foray into the hives and Mistress Mar'alith's subsequent madness the three hives have been spewing out bugs! The increased activity might be tied into the glyphs covering those strange crystals.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Unraveling the Mystery
We're on the verge of a breakthrough, <name>! The rubbings you recovered have allowed us to recreate the glyphs on this crystalline prism. They are apparently a means for the Qiraji and other unknown entities to communicate various messages to the silithid.
