Grumpus

This quest becomes almost impossible to complete in 2017 when you aren't in a group. The thing is people are standing on the spawn point and spamming AOE spells like paladins consecration, or warlocks rain of fire, so when you don't have such ability, you have no chance targeting Grumpus and getting a hit.

Tip: If you don't have such AOE spell like mentioned above, that you can cast without targeting, you can set up your target dummy on the ground which will help if you are a hunter for example, and fire multi-shot. Tried this on my hunter alt and it worked !

EDIT: I completed the daily again today (17/12/19) and mobs are now scaled, no more AOE spamming on the spawn point.

**UPDATE - the objective [npc=96487] for quest What Horrible Presents! has been hotfixed to respawn very quickly!**

This is one of the four garrison daily quests introduced for Winter Veil 2015. It rewards [item=128659], used for various items. Below is a guide to earning and spending this currency.

  Each holiday has 4 associated daily quests. Three of these quests reward 1 [item=128659] each, and one rewards 2 (for a total of 5 [item=128659] per day). All of the quests require a level 100 character with a level 3 garrison.
  All Winter's Veil quests are completed in a quest area in Frostfire Ridge, centered around roughly (45,28).
  [item=128659] are used exclusively for items sold by [npc=96362] - mostly garrison decorations.
  
  After you have acquired all 5 different Winter's Veil decorations and the toy (Crashin' Thrashin' Killdozer Controller), the [item=128659] can be used to purchase [item=128670]s from [npc=96362] (5 supplies each).

  • Each character can buy 1 decoration per day, as the four dailies for each holiday provide a total of 5 [item=128659] per day.

  • The decorations are account bound, and can be sent to your other characters. As such, you can do the dailies on 4 alts and have all 5 decorations on your main on a single day!

  • They can only be displayed in a level 3 garrison.

  • Multiple decorations can be active in your garrison simultaneously.

  • Right-clicking a decoration to "use" it applies the effect described above to your garrison, and consumes the item. This effectively "unlocks" that decoration for your character, and it will be applied any time you choose after that.

  • You can speak to [npc=96362] and select "The party's over. Get rid of these decorations, Izzy." to remove the decorations.

Decorations can only be seen in level 3 Garrisons. You can request [npc=96362] to remove them, change which holiday decorations appear, or if you want them back you can ask her to redecorate your Garrison. Decorations can be added back to your Garrison at any time (even outside the holiday), and they will remain in your Garrison until you ask [npc=96362] to remove them. So if you want pumpkins all year round you can! If you want candy canes and Winter Veil trees during the summer go for it!

This adds pairs of [npc=96723]s to your garrison who have snowball fights if you're Horde or [npc=96516]s if you are Alliance, a [spell=26157] machine for easier access to change into a little helper, and the dancing goblin, [npc=96730], who you can chat with if Horde or you can chat with [npc=96531] who is getting presents ready on the Alliance side.

"Dress your garrison guards for the season."

Puts your guards in Winter hats, with and without the Winter Clothing (colors dependent upon your faction) and [item=70923] (this is dependent on which race you have as guards). This will also put the title of "Jolly" or "Merry" on some of those who have the outfits on (e.g., Jolly Sentinel, Merry Guard, etc. ). Out of Alliance Gnome Guards do not. This also adds [npc=96438] to your garrison. You can chat with him, but he does not respond to emotes.

Hangs stockings throughout your garrison, lines the paths with candy canes, and decks the halls with mistletoe.

Q. No, they are account bound. So you can do the dailies and buy them on an alt then send them to another character (on your account) to use in their garrison. This means if you have 5 level 100's with level 3 garrisons you could get all the decorations for one character in one day. Remember though that the actually item you buy is consumed upon use. So you can only use it to decorate 1 garrison. You will need to buy more if you want that decoration on any of your other garrison.

A. Can I use them on a level 2 garrison?
Q. Yes, but you will not see the decorations until your garrison is upgraded to level 3.

A. Can I have individual items turned off?
Q. No, once you add the decoration you can only ask for all that season's decorations to be turned off or on.

A. Can I have a decoration removed completely from my garrison and keep the rest?
Q. It does not appear to be an option.

A. Can I have both Hallow's End and Winter Veil decorations up in my garrison at the same time?
Q. No, you cannot have both seasons at the same time. You can only have one, the other, or none.

A. Can I have all 5 decorations from one holiday displaying in my garrison?
Q. Yes, you can have all 5 decorations up in your garrison.

A. Can I buy the decorations at any time or just during the holiday?
Q. You can buy them at anytime if you have the currency for them. However, you can only earn the currency during the respected holiday season.

A. If I don't use the decoration before the holiday ends does it disappear?
Q. No, the decoration item does not require a holiday. Thus it does not expire once the holiday is over.

A. Do I have to get the decorations for each of my garrisons or if I add them to one they will show up in all?
Q. You need to get the decorations for each garrison you would like to have them in.
