Into the Breach

Into the Breach is a quest for level 15-30 in Grizzly Hills. It is step 89 of 115 in the Grizzly Hills storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Grizzly Hills at 65.8, 17.8. It rewards 4 reward items, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

If we can't overcome the defenders inside Thor Modan, the iron dwarves can hold out forever. The Earthen are bravely taking on the constructs built by the sons of iron, but they cannot break into the city.

The tunnels narrow too quickly for my fellow giants to be of use, so our options are few. Would you be willing to venture into the city and kill the dwarf commanding the resistance?

Make sure you pick up the Incomplete Journal, obtained from an object just outside the gates of Thor Modan with an exclamtion point quest symbol. Gather up the pages, and turn this quest in before going in to Thor Modan since the quest that the Incomplete Journal starts also leads into Thor Modan for The Runic Prophecies a couple steps later.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Rallying the TroopsGrizzly Hills · Level 15-30

The sons of iron have used their runes to enthrall many of my brothers and are using them to break the siege on Thor Modan. I wish we did not have to fight them, but we have no choice. My giants will not hold out long against them.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • GavrockGrizzly Hills · Level 15-30

Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to turn the tide of the battle for Thor Modan. This ancient city has long been a battlefield between the forces of earth and stone. I can only hope we have silenced it for the last time.
