Head to field by going directly West to 36.3,88.5. See Snuzzle's picture links below. From that starting point, you will be heading almost due west towards the tree ahead of you. You'll pass to the left of the tree and then curl around it clockwise fairly close - then just keep centered between the mines on either side. After you curve around the tree you'll be generally following a gentle curve counterclockwise. If from the starting point you just carefully keep between the mines on both sides you will get through unscathed. Sorry to spoil the fun. :) Following is from a post from Snu

Actually, when you read the quest log, it says that you should follow the path that Jeer Sparksocket used to get out.
This socalled path starts at a 'Danger' sign @ 36|88If you look closely you will see somekind of path where there are no mines.
First it goed around some trees and then into the minefield. This way you can get to the toolbox without exploding any of the mines.
And ofcourse, take the same way back ;)
no. the easiest way is to walk in.
marked with a dead gnoll lying on the ground, enter there, theres a big path you can just walk in :)made a picture. the gnoll aint on the picture though, but he's just behidn my char on the pic :D

What to do
Description
Blast it! Where are my tools? I had them here just a moment ago. Oh! I probably forgot them when I was setting up that minefield in the west. That's mildly inconvenient. I'd be quite appreciative if you could go get them for me. You'll need to watch your step though... you should be able to use the same path that I did to get out. Oh, and don't try to fly in... I had the presence of mind to set up turrets to shoot down anything that might fly, and they aren't very discerning in who they target.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

To the point... Ricket's asked me to put together some stronger land mines, but I'm running low on parts. Just west of town, you'll find the remains of our last rocket sled...

Looking good! No, not you - my new mines. You're just a little full of yourself, aren't you? I, on the other hand, am absolutely brilliant! My intellect cannot be matched. What were we talking about? Oh yes, my new mines! New and improved... ready for whatever devious use Ricket has concocted.
