Lycanthoth the Corruptor (Horde)

Lycanthoth the Corruptor is a Horde-only quest for level 30-35 in Mount Hyjal. It is step 20 of 118 in the Mount Hyjal storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Mount Hyjal at 32.5, 37.4. It rewards 3 reward items, 1 reputation reward and 4,800 experience.

Description

The actions of these feral dogs are beginning to make sense. The Twilight's Hammer fears the power of the ancients. They do not want Lo'Gosh to return.

So they've summoned their own wolf god - a perversion of what once was. "Lycanthoth," the corruptor.

<name>, Lycanthoth is but a shadow of Lo'Gosh's power, but the beast must be destroyed so that the true ancient can return. Take this incense, and burn it in the Maw of Lycanthoth east of here. Slay the monstrosity and free the spirit of Lo'Gosh!

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Howling MadMount Hyjal · Level 30-35

The shrine has been taken, <name>. We need the tenacity of Lo'Gosh now more than ever. These defilers - the lice-ridden wolf-men running rampant over the shrine - dishonor the memory of the wolf god. They arrived with the Twilight's Hammer, howling with their own twisted religion.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Eye of TwilightMount Hyjal · Level 30-35

The ogre clan across the lake is led by Gar'gol. I use the term loosely; Gar'gol has the intelligence of raw beef. So far as I can tell, Gar'gol is taking orders from a magical instrument: "The Eye of Twilight." He follows its commands unquestioningly.
