TheWoWDBIn the quest area you'll see glowing piles of trash and bones on the ground called detritus. Looting them won't remove your Illusory Guise, but be careful of the Enchanted Oculus the can break your disguise. It took about 6 piles to loot the quest item.

How do I get the Illusory Guise and what does the professor do?
To locate the quest item, [item=183398], I clicked on piles of trash on ground. Took over 20 piles to locate the item. Most piles yielded only a [item=183596]. The Professor was no benefit & if i 'mounted' him I could not interact with the piles. No 'disguise' was offered or used.

The House of Rituals is notoriously secretive, which means any knowledge we can glean from them will be all the sweeter. If we sift through their detritus, I'm sure there are all sorts of treasures we will find.
