Outschemed

Outschemed is a quest for level 80-83 in Eversong Woods. It is step 4 of 11 in the Lesser Evil storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Silvermoon City at 38.8, 75.7. It rewards 11,750 experience and money.

Description

The entrance to Dawnblaze's study is in the terrace just beneath us.

Since my magic can project this close to her wards, that means the magic guarding this place has been weakened... as I predicted.

Break the larger ward sealing the entrance and find the documents she forged to slander me. I will expect your expedient return to my office thereafter.

Of course the circle by the door does not appear immediately appear giving you at least a clue as to what needs to be done. No, No. Blizzard is their wisdom delays that circle just long enoughso you go back to the table and click on it wondering what the heck to do as the quest text itself gives you next to zero info on what you needs to. It says what you need to do ....but not how. So then you come here and waste 5 min on a quest that is easy but made hard by lack of info on what you need to do

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Unraveling WardsEversong Woods · Level 80-83

Dawnblaze is keeping the blackmail documents in her study. It is highly warded, naturally. The wards themselves are pitifully made. However, she is supplying additional power to them using arcane conduits placed throughout the city. I found the first link in the chain and brought it here to study.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Stir the NestEversong Woods · Level 80-83

Aradis told you the blackmail was false? Of course. He is vying for my position. These receipts would ruin him. He is a warlock, and we have rules about fel magic. It is not banned, but it must be used discreetly. Aradis is not discreet. Magic misuse, unsanctioned demons, fel smuggling, bribery...
