This quest is actually easy peasy! Just make sure your 'track pet' is checked, then just fly over the zone (you can fly dragonflying) until you see a green paw meaning that there is a capturable pet there. Then just simply hoover over it and a cage symbol appears, click and done.
For the record, I am truly heartbroken that they have killed the pets. This is so easy that it makes the whole previous pet achievements looks stupid. No way would someone new ever understand the time and effort it took to get all of those pets and achievements!
Just to clarify RMC - Right Mouse Click cause my brain was doing absolute hurdles trying to understand what you were saying.
