Also, it should be noted that once you defeat Mutanus and wake up Naralex at the end, everything else in the instance despawns, allowing you free access to roam about the place and find any Serpentbloom your party may have left behind.

There doesn't appear to be enough plants in the instance for more than 1 or 2 people to complete the quest in one go, which I find rather annoying. Doubly so if you plan to only run the instance once just for the quests. It's possible my group didn't run past a certain area filled with enough of these to complete it for everyone, but for an average group running towards bosses only, you won't find enough.
No longer seem to spawn in the cave outside the instance. However, as someone suggested above, wait until the instance is 'over' and then look at the wowhead map. The dots seemed to be correct for every one I saw.

Description
There is an herb in these caverns that holds untold power, {name}. Perhaps you wish to help me collect it? It is a rare flower called Serpentbloom. I believe that in greater quantities it has the potential to prevent nightmares like Naralex's from ever occuring. Unfortunately, Serpentbloom can only be found in the darkest recesses of this place.
Getting there
Inside the dungeon: Wailing Caverns
Years ago, the famed druid Naralex and his followers descended into the shadowy Wailing Caverns, named for the mournful cry one hears when steam bursts from the cave system's fissures. Naralex planned to use the underground springs to restore lushness to the arid Barrens.
Bosses in the Adventure Guide, in order: Lady Anacondra, Lord Pythas, Lord Cobrahn, Kresh, Skum, Lord Serpentis, Verdan the Everliving, Mutanus the Devourer.
Entrance: Northern Barrens at 42.0, 66.9.
Instance text, bosses and entrances are the client’s Adventure Guide data.
