Pressing Forward (Alliance)

Pressing Forward is an Alliance-only quest for level 30-35 in Twilight Highlands. It is step 173 of 236 in the Twilight Highlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Twilight Highlands at 21.3, 57.0. It rewards 3 reward items, 4,800 experience and money.

Description

Good work so far.

We should find the entrance to Grim Batol just past the next gate. I was ordered to secure the entrance and block off reinforcements while the rest of our men press through the path we've cleared up the canyon.

Let's get moving down the canyon to the southwest - we should find the next gate pretty quickly.

You actually have to fight your way to the Maingate +~10 meters.

It is not sufficient if you just fly there.

Your squad will disappear - if you do get the quest you did right.
If not - go to Shaw (now just behind your recently opened gate) and ask for a new one.

Round 2! Fight!

I finally got this quest to work after having it bug on me

Firstly, if you mount up, make sure you have all 5 guys following you... the lieutenant tends to run slower than the rest of the group. If you lose him, you won't get the quest completed. You don't have to kill all the mobs, you can even run to the sides to avoid aggro.

If you lost anyone from your squad, go to Master Mathias Shaw (29,52 or right after the third gate from the start.. he doesn't have an exclamation mark or anything) to ask for your squad again. If you abandoned the quest, the lieutenant will have the quest for you after you get your squad back.
