Description

Being a human and a night elf, the archmage and I aren't likely to be well-received by the orcs of the Frostwolf clan.

We need you to make an introduction for us with the Throm'var farseer.

There is much to discuss. Shall I bring you up to speed on the way to the village?

You have to talk to Cordana Felsong at 32,16 and once she starts the quest follow alongside her as she walks over the ridge and into the town, along the way you are joined by Archmage Khadgar. Once both Cordana and Khadgar walk into town, they will ask to be introduced to Farseer Urquan, simply wait for the dialogue to play out to get the quest completion.

Players who are too hasty and run ahead to the quest endpoint leaving Cordana behind may have to abandon the quest and restart it.

Stick with the NPCs.

"Being a human and a night elf, the archmage and I aren't likely to be well-received by the orcs of the Frostwolf clan."

Why?

Do Orcs have a natural hatred of humans/night elves?

These orcs have never even SEEN humans or night elves before! This is the PAST, before they ever even met!

Of the entire Horde, the ONLY race these guys have seen is Orc. That's it. And green skin orcs aren't exactly trustworthy fellows either.

Now I understand they're saying "Hey, you have an in with them, vouch for us." and I'm fine with that. But why specify it's because you're a night elf or a human? My Forsaken/Blood Elf doesn't look any less foreign to them.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Vouchsafe Our ArrivalFrostfire Ridge · Level 10-40

A matter of great importance has arisen. While you were away, Archmage Khadgar contacted me. He is investigating demonic influences to the north. Being a human, the Frostwolves will not accept Khadgar without you there to vouch for him, nor will they accept a night elf such as myself.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • What Must Be DoneFrostfire Ridge · Level 10-40

I believe we have seen this demonic corruption your friends speak of. The Mother of Wolves has not been herself lately. Now, her pack has her surrounded. The wolves are protecting our hunters and will not let them near. They're not likely to stop you, though.
