If you see the Ethereal mobs in the same area instead of the slimes, continue to do the main quest until youre past that part. Once youre far enough in the questline the mobs should switch back to slimes. Just took forever to figure that out xD
Sitting here for 5 min at 65% in this 'quest' and no more slimes are spawning. Can't progress it. Thanks Blizz!
Just follow the Green Slime River, there's more of the little Runaway Sewage further round. While not in the 'quest area' they still count.
