Smothered in the Crib

Smothered in the Crib is a quest for level 88-90 in Voidstorm. It is step 4 of 5 in The Nightbreaker storyline. It rewards 12,850 experience and money.

Description

I summoned my first imp in a dirty, haze-filled lounge beneath Murder Row after a dozen failed attempts. Each time, I reached further for what made so-called greater powers submit to mortals. I finally managed it after wetting my hands with the hot blood of a young rabbit. Bloodthistle never satisfied me again.

I have matured my technique since then. Seek the whelps of these beasts. Siphon their energy into my reliquary of darkness. From their sacrifice, we will draw the power to defeat Kalgorg.

I rather appreciate the "extra" way to do the quest.
While it may not really have any point or reward in it, it does give a bit of the missing roleplaying in wow that has been missing for a long time.
And hey, maybe some of us would like the option to pass on murdering babies, monster or not.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • For Violence's SakeVoidstorm · Level 88-90

Like many warlocks, I bind my demons with terms of a contract. I should have realized the Void and violence of this world could affect the rules I took for granted. Kalgorg used that power to break its bindings and end our arrangement.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Overwhelming DarknessVoidstorm · Level 88-90

A dreadful presence calls from the den just to the southeast of here. Many of the dazed ren'dorei you see in camp were overwhelmed by its raw power on a scouting mission. Let us go together and see if whatever dwells within can be put to use.
