Smoot's Samophlange

Smoot's Samophlange is a Horde-only quest for level 30-35 in Azshara. It is step 56 of 236 in the Twilight Highlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Azshara at 54.5, 51.2. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,800 experience and money.

Description

It was the Captain who insisted his new engines use an induction samophlange.

Those things hadn't even been invented yet!

I tasked Smoot with creating one based on some stolen Venture Company schematics, and he's finally built a working model.

Now that he's got his samophlange, he's drunk with power. He's running all over town with it like a goblin possessed.

Smack Smoot and snag my samophlange, <name>.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Ready the Air ForceAzshara · Level 30-35

I gave Hellscream my personal guarantee that I'd have his airfleet ready this week, but our flagship - The Spear of Durotar - still doesn't have its primary engines installed. Fleep promised me a dangerously shiny new engine last week.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Pre-Flight ChecklistAzshara · Level 30-35

This new engine is extremely fast. And dangerous. I'd use the word "volatile." That's the way the Captain likes it. Run back up the hill and let him know that I'll install this bad boy right now and that he should meet me at the construction site.
