Take the High Ground

Take the High Ground is a quest for level 10-54 in Maldraxxus, added in Shadowlands. It is step 4 of 15 in the House of Constructs storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Maldraxxus at 39.3, 46.7. It rewards 7,350 experience and money.

Description

The commander of the constructs, General Alver, is a master tactician. A frontal assault has no chance of victory against him. It will be a bloodbath.

His forces have flanked us and secured the high ground. From that position, he can rain destruction upon us unopposed.

We will take the ridge from him before that can happen.

If you run away before a bomb explodes, you will need to revisit the location so that Secutor Mevix appears and starts the explosion sequence.

If this does happen to you, note that the objective location will NOT show up on your map and you will need to use the below coordinates.

/way 35.74 50.30 Bomb 1
/way 36.09 48.41 Bomb 2
/way 36.08 46.39 Bomb 3

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • First Time? You Have to Fight!Maldraxxus · Level 10-54

When it comes to warfare, strength of will is as critical as strength of arms. A demoralized soldier is a defeated soldier! We have the numbers to overwhelm the constructs with a full scale assault, but only if our forces are fully committed to the charge.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Offensive BehaviorMaldraxxus · Level 10-54

Fine work, <name>. We've advanced with minimal casualties. From this new forward position, we can strike directly at the enemy commander. The troops you rallied will join the attack. Together, we will bring this battle to a decisive end. Locate General Alver and sound the horn.
