The quest text clearly indicates you should receive an item reward.
This armor should help you out.
However, as a warrior, you get nothing.
This is because the game only shows "valid" armour types for your class; and there are no plate items to choose from.
This is a throwback (no doubt unintentional) to the earlier versions of WoW, in which warriors would start out wearing mail and only later obtain the ability to wear plate (low level plate gear did not exist at all).
Since the change to simplify gearing, and warriors no longer needing to bother with mail: most quests have been updated to to include plate items where necessary.
Ironically this one was evidently missed.

Description
First of all, look at your armor. You're a mess, {class}. If you'd like to stay in one piece--and I've no doubt you do--perhaps I can help. If you can gather some paws and wings from the wolves and bats nearby, maybe I'll find some armor for you. You'll find the creatures to the north and to the west of here.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
Getting there
Horde flight points closest to the quest’s turn-in marker on Deathknell:
- Forsaken High Command, Silverpine Forest
- Forsaken Rear Guard, Silverpine Forest
- Brill, Tirisfal Glades
From the turn-in, the objective areas lie:
- Objective area
- Objective area
- Objective area
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Executor In the Field
I can keep you busy here in town all week... but you seem to be more the fighting type. <Elreth looks you over and nods.> Yes, you'll do just fine. I'd like you to go talk to Executor Arren. Follow the path north, out of Deathknell. You'll find him not far past the barricades.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Night Web's Hollow
One of our greatest struggles is obtaining the natural resources we need to survive. Gold was scarce in Lordaeron, even in the height of the Alliance's power so many years ago. There is a gold mine to the west that has been overrun with spiders.
