Description
Darnell tells me that the two of you have already met. That's good, because I'm sending you both into Deathknell. Your work is done here. Speak with Deathguard Saltain in Deathknell, to the north. He will tell you more of what you must know.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
Getting there
Flight points closest to the quest’s turn-in marker on Deathknell:
- Forsaken High Command, Silverpine Forest
- Forsaken Rear Guard, Silverpine Forest
- Brill, Tirisfal Glades
- 12.1 Ulatek - Faction Feature - Temple - Traversal - Flight Master - Eastern Entrance (HCR)
From the turn-in, the objective areas lie:
- Objective area
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Wakening
King, peasant, or <class>... I don't care WHAT you were before. I just need somebody with a working tongue. Being raised from the dead is strenuous. Not everyone copes with it as well as you did. In particular, there are three newly-raised undead who are having trouble coping right now.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Recruitment
We've been shipping in dead bodies from Silverpine, Hillsbrad... hell, anywhere we can get them from. We can't, however, afford to ignore the bodies which are sitting right on our front doorstep. The last vestiges of the Scarlet Crusade roam here in Tirisfal Glades.
The storyline at a glance
Deathknell has 17 steps, from Fresh out of the Grave to Vital Intelligence.
Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Deathknell (16), Tirisfal Glades (1).
