The Damsel's (Bad) Luck

The Damsel's (Bad) Luck is a quest for level 10-30 in The Cape of Stranglethorn. It is step 60 of 62 in The Cape of Stranglethorn storyline. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

I heard that this ship here is the Damsel's Luck. Didn't you used to be the captain of that thing? You must know your way around it, then.

The Brashtide are our main concern, but we still don't want to take an unnecessary pummeling from those cannons of theirs. Grab this rope behind me and take out some of those angry-looking corsairs. Check in with the Baron when you're done.

I loved this quest. Was a great story line and you dont get to see Booty Bay blasted very often. To get on the boat, just walk the mast behind the goblin fleet master and kill away. To get off, click on the rope on the deck and you will swing over like Tarzan.

Edit: to get on the ship, there is also the rope just to the left of Fleet Master Seahorn.

If you have The Damsel's (Bad) Luck what I found to be the best way to farm reputation for [faction=21]+[faction=577]+[faction=369]+[faction=470] at once was to stand on the boat in the middle of Booty Bay and simply kill the [npc=43726] as long as you can, here are my estimations (did this on my feral Druid, note that I had Cat Form and ran at 130% speed, so 30% quicker than other classes):

    0% 5% 10% 15% 20%
    0.83 rep a second 0.87 0.91 0.95 0.99
   49.45 rep a minute 51.93 54.40 56.87 59.35
 2967.38 rep an hour 3115.75 3264.12 3412.49 3560.86
 5934.76 rep per 2 hours 6231.50 6528.24 6824.98 7121.71
11869.53 rep per 4 hours 12463.01 13056.48 13649.96 14243.44
23739.05 rep per 8 hours 24926.01 26112.96 27299.91 28486.86

With 0% these are the following estimations:
Honored->Revered: 12000 rep takes roughly 4 hours and 2 minutes
Honored->Exalted: 33000 rep takes roughly 11 hours and 7 minutes
Revered->Exalted: 21000 rep takes roughly 7 hours and 4 minutes

My sample size was 10 minutes of farming like this, constantly running and killing as they spawn, they spawn quite quickly since they are quest mobs.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Final Voyage of the BrashtideThe Cape of Stranglethorn · Level 10-30

We'll never survive this attack with all these worgen pirates pouring into the harbor from the north. Luckily, it looks like they're not armed with cannons, so if we can get you out of the harbor, you can attack from the skies. Kebok, the Horde flight master's assistant, is right around the corner.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Turning the BrashtideThe Cape of Stranglethorn · Level 10-30

The Brashtide are everywhere! The Baron's Booty Bay Bruisers are no match for their sheer numbers, I'm afraid. While you're down here in the fray, why don't you help me get rid of a few of them? When you're done, don't bother coming back here. I'll probably be pretty busy.
