My main map was bugging out and not showing me areas where these are. If it is RAINING you will not get credit for the sentries because they get "corroded." Find another area.
UPDATE: The following is from 8.2.5: Corroded Sentries now correctly grant credit toward “Battle Tested.”
This is a follow-up quest. You have to do Toys For Destruction first to get this offered upon turning in that one.
