Posting this here so that it is visible because I want people to be able to get their pet without the confusion I had. As these are not listed as a chain and truthfully you wont be finishing all the quests chains, rather these are the just quests required to get your raptor. This is for the Alliance, Horde I can't help you.
1.a. Bad Medicine
1.a.1. Just Hatched
1.a.2. I Think She's Hungry
1.b. The Fate of Kurzen
1.b.1. Spared from MadnessAt this point you must log out, and log back in inorder to spawn a npc that will be required in the next step.
2. Deep Roots Make certain your pet raptor is out while doing this quest as it will give you the next step here.
3. Favored Skull If you did not complete 1.a.2. you will not be offered this quest as there will be no npc to turn it in. If you have not logged out and back in the npc will not be at the Rebel Camp yet.
4. A Nose for This Sort of Thing
5. A Physical Specimen
6. Bloodlord Mandokir Don't bother chasing him, he runs the farthest I've ever seen an npc go, all the way to 54.5, 43.3 where he claims to have lost you and despawns. This chasing him is what got me confused because I thought I was done and so went and did Zul'Gurub and wondered why I didn't get my pet.7. Priestess Thaalia
8. Mind Vision
9. See Raptor
10. Mind Control
11. Be Raptor
12. Ghaliri It is after you complete this quest that killing [npc=52151] you get your 'aka back.
The Embalmer reincarnates Stitches out of pure evil.
This guy reincarnates Mandokir out of pure stupidity.

What to do
Description
{race}. You just resurrected your worst nightmare. You didn't think I was a friend, did you, {race}? Ah, ha ha haaaa! You've served your purpose. I've returned to the realm of the living, and it's all thanks to you. So, instead of killing you, I'm going to make you a deal instead. Give me that raptor. You must already know that she's no normal raptor, and I need a replacement for Ohgan. Do it, or both you and the gnome will taste my rage.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- A Physical Specimen
The soul is ready, but the body is not. For a skull as well-formed, as marvelous, as beautiful as this... we will need a suitable body. The chief of the Bloodscalps, Gan'zulah, won his throne with brute force. If he still lives, you'll find him in Zul'Kunda, to the west.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Priestess Thaalia
Thank you, <name>. I know you didn't have to save my life. The return of Bloodlord Mandokir is ill news. He was killed inside Zul'Gurub several years ago, and we thought we had seen the last of him and his kind. The trolls of Zul'Gurub were attempting to perform a hideous, horrible ritual.
