just to note the converted heroes aren't linked. so even though the large group of them may seem intimidating, if you're careful you can pull them one at a time. as a shaman like me, just fire a lightning bolt at one (don't use chain lightning!) and one will come. take him out, rinse and repeat. the heroes also don't seem aggro if you attack their respective banner bearer. if you're careful the quest isn't all that hard, despite it seeming like it with the large groups.

Description

In the Valley of Fallen Heroes and Icecrown Glacier, to the west of Aldur'thar, the Scourge seeks to use the fallen against us. Scourge lieutenants have woken the valley's dead and imbued them with fearsome strength and fervor. The banners carried by the Scourge leaders in the glacier area are the source of these powers. Kill the banner-bearers, and you will weaken the converted heroes they lead. It falls to you to rid us of this obstacle, and thin the resistance before the main body can advance.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
