Clear Goals (Alliance)

Clear Goals is an Alliance-only quest for level 30-35 in Shimmering Expanse. It is step 106 of 149 in the Vashj'ir, Kelp'thar Forest & Shimmering Expanse storyline. It rewards 4,800 experience and money.

Description

I see. The news you bring is grim, but I was not entirely unprepared for such possibilities. Without any effective scouting of naga numbers, I knew our plan was risky, but that's why we established this forward post.

Let me put it to you plainly, <class>. If we do not keep the naga off-balance, they will bring the fight to us. We do not have the structures or the men to mount a defense, so that is not an option.

We need more time. Can you thin their numbers to the south?

Hunters be careful while completing this quest. It must be a glitch or something, but every time I would finish attacking a Naga force my pet would find another group of Naga to attack. I suggest watching your pet closely if not turning it passive.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Looking ForwardShimmering Expanse · Level 30-35

The Admiral used the information you gathered for him to make a forward post under the terrace to our west. He's been preparing there for some kind of attack against the naga. You should go to him immediately and inform him of the scope of what you've witnessed.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Not Entirely UnpreparedShimmering Expanse · Level 30-35

I overheard your conversation with the Admiral. I know what we're doing sounds insane, but we really don't have much choice. There are people back at that cave that are depending on us. I've stationed lookouts on various ledges in the immediate area.
