TheWoWDBIt appears you can prospect each node multiple times. In my case I only received the Shards on the first two pulls of each node.

I am on the jc questline and this quest is not showing up in my quest log even though I finished Shrine of the Storm, not sure why.
After creating a [item=153716], jewelcrafters can pick up free gems every day from of six shrines, each corresponding to a gem colour.
Only shrines that have been unlocked (by completing a quest) show on the map, and can be interacted with.

Description
<Checking your notes, the earthen mentions having prospected the jewels from a nearby mountain to the northwest. Perhaps you can prospect the earth in that area to find more of those jewels and repair the shrine.>
