Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

• Forward CampZaralek Cavern · Level 36-80

Since Sarkareth now wields the power of Aberrus's defenses, he has an army that will shield him from us. The next step for us will be to establish a stronghold inside the garrison. That way we can search it without interruption. Meet me there.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

• Cracking His ShellZaralek Cavern · Level 36-80

We have seen shields like this before. Sarkareth is drawing on the power of Aberrus to protect himself while he finds his way in. Cowardly, but clever. Disrupt the conduits that are supplying his shield power, and we should be able to reach him.
