Ground Leave

Ground Leave is a quest for level 10-60 in The Forbidden Reach. It is step 2 of 4 in The Obsidian Warders storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Stormwind City at 79.8, 26.9.

Description

Perhaps we should get an idea of this city, if it is to be our new home. A scouting mission, if you will.

Go, see what this place has to offer. I will follow Wrathion and attempt to help in any way I can.

Try not to upset the locals any more than you must, though. I doubt many of them are used to seeing dragons walk among them.

Meet up with us once you've gotten the lay of the land.

Throughout this quest, you're actually being followed by a member of SI:7 who's keeping tabs on you.

Who is it? Elling Trias, the cheesemonger from the Trade District! He's disguised as a patron at the bank, an auction goer at the auction house, an apprentice mage at the mage tower, and a guard at the Stormwind Embassy. Just pay attention for the guy with black hair and an eyepatch.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Draconic ConnectionsThe Forbidden Reach · Level 10-60

Ordinarily such a flight would take considerably longer. But when the bronze Aspect himself speeds you on your way, it allows one to make the journey in record... <ahem> ...time. Oh, the soldiers with the pointy weapons? Not to worry. Merely a formality.

After this quest

  • Aspectral InvitationDragon Isles · Level 10-70

Ah, <name>. Impeccable timing! I just met with Lord Commander Turalyon and his allies, and they have accepted the Aspects' invitation to the Dragon Isles. You will be coming along, of course? It wouldn't be the same without you! I imagine you have noticed some unfamiliar faces gathered here.
