Then use pass and your Nexus Whelpling will come into battle.
Arcane Storm followed up with Mana Surge will destroy the enemy.

Super late to this quest, but is anyone else facing a problem where after defeating the trainer Gurgl is not clickable? the interaction key doesn't work either....
Questline starts in [zone=7502] (Legion) at [npc=96479].
- Pets Detective - use [item=187128] in the marked areas, follow the cat and talk to [npc=179516], [npc=179517] and [npc=179518]
- Pet Up - fly to non-instanced Eye of Azshara in the south of Dalaran. Go to the marked area and use [item=186695] at the NPCs
- The Coast is Clear - click [npc=179587] near you: 1) [spell=354762], 2) [spell=354760], 3) [spell=355625]. Find 10 pet supplies. I could collect the supplies without Speedy once a crocolisk revealed me
- Paw Patrol - kill pirates to get [item=186772] for the cages
- Gurgl and the Bandit - defeat [npc=179694] in a pet battle
Her pets are [npc=179967], [npc=179809] and [npc=179966]. I beat her with 3 Zandalari raptors
Click [npc=179813] behind her.
Return to Breanni in Dalaran and get [item=186553] ([npc=179140]).Questline took about 20 minutes.

Description
We've got all the pets back except Gurgl. {name}, we need to get that pet back for Breanni. Stringfellowe saw a nook where we think the leader of these pet poachers is hiding out. Let's get 'em!
