Saurfang the Younger's "greater purpose" that he refers to, takes place in the WoTLK expansion. He's the orc who charges in and gets his soul stolen by Frostmourne during the Wrathgate cinematic. During the Yogg Saron encounter, in one of the possible brain phase visions you see Saurfang Jr. salute the Lich King when he tells Bolvar "I will break you as I broke him". It's been proposed that they will both be bosses in 3.3, the Icecrown Citadel update. Small hint of this after the cinematic. What Alexstrasza is saying, when speaking in dragon as you approach, is "They must not yet discover the fate of the young paladin", to which her consort replies "They will not".

What to do

StorylineNagrand, step 35 of 94

Description

Will you do me one last honor, {name}? I do not wish to return to Garadar. I believe that my destiny lies elsewhere - that I will serve a greater purpose someday. Please, return to Farseer Corhuk and tell him that I will not be returning. That I cannot return. I must walk the earth... He will understand.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Once Were WarriorsNagrand · Level 15-30

I do not know you, stranger, but I ask for your help. I feel shame for this, but I am only one orc. Emotions have surfaced that I have never felt. I... I seek vengeance. Blood for blood. Do your people ever feel this? I wish to pick up my axe and split my enemies in two.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Totem of Kar'dashNagrand · Level 15-30

Thank you, stranger. They would have surely killed me had it not been for you. I was kidnapped by these Murkbloods 3 nights ago during a nighttime raid on Garadar. What I have since uncovered may very well shake the foundation of the Outland: these savages seek to recover the totem of Kar'dash!
