The quest title "Hit Medicine" is actually a literal translation of the quest item, "Dit Da Jow"
"Dit Da Jow", or "Die Da Jiu" in Mandarin, is an ointment used by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in the treatment of simple fall bruises, and, don't quote me on this one, probably serves as a minor anti-coagulant. "Dit Da Jow" is just simply the Cantonese method of pronouncing the words.
It's usually light-brownish and has quite a pungent odour to it, although I cannot say for sure if it smells unpleasant or not. The medicine is never taken internally and applied with a great level of force over the bruise (yes, I am saying if you visit a TCM practitioner with a bruise it's going to get much worse before it gets better).

What to do
Description
Our warriors are fighting to keep the yaungol at bay in the Kun-Lai Pass to the northwest. Take this liniment. It is a powerful medicine that has been passed down in my family over the generations. Use the dit da jow to heal the injured warriors if you do not have healing powers of your own to use on them.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- All of the Arrows
As soon as their reinforcements arrive, the yaungol are going to overrun our position here. If they do that, the village will be lost. Would you be willing to retrieve as many arrows off the battlefield as you can carry? I have a plan that just might save us with your help.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Enraged Vengeance
<The Swordmistress does not look well. There's a darkness to her eyes uncharacteristic of the pandaren.> I don't think I've ever been as... as furious as now. What betrayal!
