Krasus's Compendium

Krasus's Compendium is a quest for level 25-30 in Netherstorm. It is step 76 of 103 in the Netherstorm storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Netherstorm at 58.4, 88.9. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

The Kirin Tor sent one other of Krasus's possessions with our expedition. It was his spellbook, called Krasus's Compendium. Containing all the spells he mastered, it lent us a much-needed advantage in the war.

Before Kael'thas and his forces laid siege to Kirin'Var, the compendium had been stolen from me by a rebellious apprentice intent on studying necromancy. The apprentice and his followers divided and studied the text in secret, locking themselves inside their houses in the southern part of town.

Fun fact:
Krasus is the name of one of the main characters from the Warcraft Books, in particular "Day of the Dragon", and the "War of the Ancients Trilogy."

He's a dragon mage who is one of the leads of the Kirin Tor.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Building a PerimeterNetherstorm · Level 25-30

We are prepared to try to construct a perimeter around the village using the energy source taken from the blood elves. I can't guarantee that it will work, but we have to attempt it. Otherwise, the mana creatures will surely continue devouring the spirits of the fallen Kirin Tor.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Torching Sunfury HoldNetherstorm · Level 25-30

Ridding Sunfury Hold of its garrison is not sufficient to keep the blood elves from reoccupying it. Kael'thas's followers are zealous and tenacious. Leaving them anything to use at Sunfury is effectively an invitation to return. No, it must all be destroyed.
