Another poorly documented quest...When you're done, there's a little talky then he says "Come, let us press forward." If you follow him, as you might think to do on an escort quest, he rides into a bunch of demons, then fades out. No clue as to where to go for the next part of the quest, just *poof* "Haha, good luck finding me. (trollface)" And suddenly he's a thousand yards away on a hill that you have to fight your way up. (Or fly over, if you've finished that...)
Apparently he gets to use the employee entrance. It's good to be the king...
This quest took me by surprise and I had a sudden wave of terrible empathy for the poor people who die in ditches away from their families.
The souls' first reaction to being encountered and spoken to by the player is either...
- Concern for their families and panic that they no longer have a provider with their death
- Or sheer disbelief and horror at how they were suddenly plucked from life like nothing

Description
Never in my life have I beheld such destruction... such misery. The very ground we walk on us paved with the bones of our allies. Even now I can see the lost spirits of Alliance soldiers wandering the ruins. I cannot leave this place without putting the souls of our brave soldiers to rest. We owe them... I owe them that much.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

- A Walk to Remember
It's good to have you at my side, <name>. I've come to the Broken Shore to see, for myself, the price that my father... that the Alliance has paid to protect our world. As long as I am blind to the suffering and sacrifices of my people, I will never be able to lead them to peace.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The King's Path
Now that I have seen the Broken Shore and the terror of the Burning Legion first hand, my eyes have been opened to the truth. I speak not of the unfathomable evil of the enemy, but of the bravery and sacrifice that such evil brings about in the hearts of our people.
