Quest line for the class mount Highlord's Golden Charger starts at [npc=118376] on Broken Shore after completing Breaching the Tomb with a Paladin.


  2. Worthy of the Title - travel to your order hall

  4. Preparations Underway - buy or craft a Stonehide Leather Barding (by a leatherworker, costs 25 Stonehide Leather)

  6. The Hammer of Dalaran - go to [npc=92183] in Dalaran

  8. A Few Things First - bring him 25 Leystone Ore and 1 [item=147768] (vendors for the sapphire are [npc=109563] in Suramar, one is here: /way Suramar 49.29 74.75 Entrance, costs 500 [currency=1155]. Use your [spell=202477] buff or he won't interact with you)

  10. Leather to Legendary - watch the dialogue, pick up the [item=144294] from the anvil and return to your order hall

  12. Stirring in the Shadows - use your order hall's exit to Eastern Plaguelands and travel to Stratholme. Talk to [npc=118360] to start the scenario and follow its story line.
    You can ride inside. Defeat mini bosses (kill the trash mobs in front of the towers to let them spawn) and free the paladins after that.

    Return to the entrance, talk to [npc=117714] and click the [npc=118254]

  14. Run to the end of the instance, enter the chamber and leave it again to start the fight against [npc=118224] (focus on him). Let [npc=117714] bring you back to your order hall.

[spell=241853] will be added to your mount collection automatically after turning in the quest.

No kiddin', i did that questline... twice. By the way, doesn't he mean the Charger, a.k.a. second mount?
First mount (Warhorse) was simply learned/bought for 20s or so iirc.

Description

As you may or may not recall, I once helped young paladins obtain their first armored mount. It was a tedious task that involved months of obtaining materials and sending them all over Azeroth. Thankfully, times have changed and we now have most of those materials at hand. That being said, I wish to help you obtain a new mount, something worthy of your title as Highlord. In order for us to begin, I only require that you obtain a barding for us. Something strong, thick, and heavy.
