Ritual Severance

Ritual Severance is a quest for level 30-40 in Spires of Arak. It is step 6 of 11 in The Gods of Arak storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Spires of Arak at 64.2, 37.2. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,450 experience and money.

Description

I could not defeat this curse, and long ago resigned myself to rest in darkness.

But the Sethekk are performing dark rituals to draw me back, slowly binding me to Sethe's will. Should they succeed, Sethe would have me draw a dark cloak across the horizon, and bathe the world in his blood.

Disrupt their rituals, so that I may return with my own free will. Then, together, we shall bring an end to Sethe's return.

1st: Again DON'T look at the map on this page, it's for the Ally.
Anzu can be found at 66.60, 51.51 to start this quest

You will see a big bird standing on a broken pillar.

2nd: it's NOT the circle of FIRE like I thought, look for the BLUE circles on your minimap adjacent to the fires.
Run around on them on foot or on mount don't matter about3 or 4 revolutions should do it.

this is the provebial case of "don't stand in the fire"... you are not looking for the three bonfires with the cool purple and orange flames [that splash around and napalm other things like... you] - - - you want the red rune-looking ritual circles! Thanks to my guildies for staightening me out!!!

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Sons of SetheSpires of Arak · Level 30-40

Many years have passed since anyone has been in contact with Anzu. He faded away, as Terokk did, to take refuge in the shadows. If we are to coax him back, we should make an offering. Sethe took the sky from us all - it seems fitting to take the wings of his children.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Servants of a Dead GodSpires of Arak · Level 30-40

Even in death, Sethe exerts influence. The Sethekk cult was born of this influence: led by a false king in service of the dead god. Silence their prophets, for they seek a future of black seas and blighted skies. Defeat their chosen champions, for they have pledged themselves to a lie.
