Scourge First... Alliance Later

Scourge First... Alliance Later is a Horde-only quest for level 15-30 in Western Plaguelands. It is step 24 of 63 in the Western Plaguelands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Western Plaguelands at 47.9, 63.9. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

Darkmaster Gandling of the Cult of the Damned leads the Scourge offensive here in Andorhal. My old counterpart, Thassarian, leads the Alliance forces. If we're to win Andorhal, we'll have to defeat both, but we will certainly fail if we take on both at once.

I know Thassarian well enough to know that he will focus on the Scourge first. We will do the same.

Take out the weaker, desiccated Scourge to reduce their numbers. The Alliance will have to wait to taste our wrath.

  • Alas, AndorhalWestern Plaguelands · Level 15-30

Head south, to Chillwind Camp. Tell Commander Ashlam Valorfist everything that happened here. Me? I'm going west, into Tirisfal. My battle's not over yet. I've got an appointment with that harpy that calls herself a Banshee Queen... and I'm finding out what she did to Koltira.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • War MachinesWestern Plaguelands · Level 15-30

You fools will never defeat the Scourge with those abominations running around. Koltira blathers on about reducing their numbers, but the Scourge's best weapon here in Andorhal can be found in those lumbering brutes that are throwing my deathguards around like ragdolls. I won't have it.
