The quest mob in the back of the cave at the top of the way can be killed for 75% completion. He instantly respawns. This allows you to complete the special assignment in under 2 minutes. Yes, you can kill him multiple times for credit.

As of 11/Sep/2024, the quest is bugged -at least partially: You can find and kill the boss in the cave, but all other mobs are not present at all, due to a bug with phasing. Thus leading you getting stuck at 75% completion and no way to hit 100%.
