I would suggest instead of just sitting there for about 2 minutes to wait for it to auto complete, fight the little buggers. Major heals unless you wanna get pummeled to the point of death. When you talk to him to start the quest, one Zan'thik mob will attack, kill him and 2 more will come, then one more will come right after the other 2, I AOE'd them down. As I was attempting to kill them, the quest completed.
Kills from this quest do NOT count towards Eradicating the Zan'thik.
