Sunset Kings

Sunset Kings is a quest for level 30-35 in Dread Wastes. It is step 42 of 58 in the Dread Wastes storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Dread Wastes at 38.2, 17.1. It rewards 4,800 experience and money.

Description

Olon had a clever idea. He thinks that we should visit the sprites to the west, and ask them if they have any of these ingredients. Some of the elements to this recipe are seeming... strange.

The Rikkitun sprites have a village to the west of Kor'vess. I hope to see you there, <name>.

I had to complete "Evie Stormstout" and "Han Stormstout" before Sapmaster Vu would offer this quest. I had finished every other quest in the zone.

Some sources are marking the Stormstout quests as optional for the storyline achieve, but for me, the first two were at least necessary.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Wood and ShadeDread Wastes · Level 30-35

"Rending daggers of the great ones shall be bound with WOOD and SHADE." Hmm. I've learned a lot about the Kor'thik mantid in my time here. I know that they maintain shrines within their settlement, Kor'vess. One is a heartroot of the very tree that they inhabit.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Horror Comes A-RisingDread Wastes · Level 30-35

We are protected from the mantid. Such was the agreement made so many millennia ago. There are forces from which we are not safe, however. The kyparites beneath the ground to the west will haunt us, chase us... even eat us. The mistlurkers eat our kind by the handful. Help our people, outsider.
